Matt and Dave's Trek in the Woods
Our trip: The 100 Mile Wilderness, a section of the Appalachian Trail(AT) in Maine. Not necessarialy true wilderness, but one of the most remote sections of the AT. It gets is name from the fact that there are 100 miles(or real close to it) between paved roads, however there are logging roads that cross the trail in several locations. Until recently there were no re-supply points along this section of trail, there is now one hostel along the trail where a hiker can get a ferry across a lake to spend a night or get a fresh meal. This section of trail starts in Monson, ME and ends at Abol bridge.

This a picture diary of our trip. Not always the best pics but I'm an amateur and I've been hiking for ??? miles with a 50 lb pack give me a break. There are some captions where I can remember what we saw. Sometimes all the mountains kind of run together in memory.

The pictures are broken out by the day of our hike.
